Robinhood has expanded its crypto offerings with the launch of micro futures contracts for XRP, Solana, and Bitcoin Friday futures, reinforcing its position as a growing leader in the digital asset derivatives market. With this launch, Robinhood now offers a total of nine crypto futures products, aimed at providing greater access and flexibility to retail investors.
These new micro futures are designed to lower the entry barrier for traders by requiring less capital upfront, making it easier for individuals to participate in crypto markets that were previously dominated by institutional investors.
Micro Futures Designed for Retail Traders
Robinhood’s micro XRP futures come with a contract multiplier of 2,500, where each 0.0005 tick equals $125. For micro Solana futures, the multiplier is 25, and a 0.5 tick movement is valued at $1.25. Both products are cash-settled, eliminating the need to hold or transfer the actual cryptocurrencies, and are available for trading nearly 24 hours a day—from 6:00 PM to 5:00 PM ET, Sunday through Friday.
This extended trading window provides increased flexibility for users in different time zones and supports more active trading strategies. The lower tick value and contract sizes also reduce risk for new traders while allowing for greater precision in managing positions.

The launch of these micro futures follows Robinhood’s recent decision to relist XRP, Solana, and Cardano on its U.S. trading platform.
