The tokenized equity market is experiencing explosive growth. Over the past month alone, the number of tokenized stock holders has more than doubled, reaching a massive 1.31 million investors. According to recent data from RWA.xyz, this surge in retail and institutional participation has driven monthly transfer volumes up by nearly 180%, hitting an impressive $23.13 billion. At the same time, the total distributed value of these digital assets climbed by 5.9% to reach $2.38 billion, signaling a major shift in how modern investors interact with traditional equities.
The Rapid Rise of Tokenized Equities and Top Market Leaders
This remarkable market growth is strongly reflected in overall user activity, with monthly active addresses jumping over 34% to nearly 572,000. Leading this booming sector is Ondo, which currently commands about $872 million in distributed value. Right on its heels is Kraken’s xStocks platform, holding strong at $557.8 million. Binance is also making aggressive moves in the space. Its newly launched bStocks, which debuted just this June, has already generated $521.8 million in distributed value, placing it just $36 million shy of overtaking Kraken’s market share.
When zooming in on individual tokenized assets, the numbers are equally impressive. Securitize currently leads the pack with $145.2 million in distributed value. It is closely followed by the Strategy PP Variable xStock at $135.6 million, and Ondo’s highly popular tokenized Circle shares, which account for $99.7 million of the market.
Private Market Expansion and the $4 Trillion Future of Tokenized Assets
A significant driver behind this recent momentum has been an ambitious push into private markets and pre-IPO products. Earlier this year, major crypto platforms including Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, Bybit, and Bitget launched various products tied to SpaceX ahead of its highly anticipated mid-June public market debut. While demand was sky-high—highlighted by a staggering $557 million drawn by a Binance campaign alone—the execution faced some unexpected hurdles. Several major platforms were forced to cancel their tokenized SpaceX IPO campaigns and issue refunds when xStocks could not secure enough underlying shares to meet the massive investor appetite.
Despite those early pre-IPO setbacks, the overall appetite for tokenized exposure remains incredibly resilient. Since the company’s public listing on June 12, tokenized SpaceX shares through Binance’s bStocks have accumulated nearly $68 million in distributed value, ranking it as the seventh largest individual tokenized asset tracked by RWA.xyz. This persistent growth highlights a much larger trend sweeping through the financial world. As the tokenization of real-world assets continues to bridge the gap between traditional finance and blockchain technology, traditional institutions are paying close attention. In fact, Standard Chartered has boldly forecasted that the broader real-world asset tokenization sector could explode into a $4 trillion market by the end of 2028.
