Bealls Embraces Cryptocurrency for In-Store Shopping
U.S. retail giant Bealls has officially stepped into the world of digital payments by beginning to accept cryptocurrency in all of its stores across the country. This major move comes through a partnership with Flexa, a leading digital payments firm that enables fast and secure crypto transactions.
With this integration, Bealls customers can now pay using over 99 different cryptocurrencies through more than 300 supported digital wallets. This shift represents a significant modernization for the 110-year-old retailer, offering shoppers a new level of payment flexibility and digital convenience.
Founded in Florida in 1915, Bealls operates over 660 stores nationwide, including Bealls, Bealls Florida, and Home Centric. By adopting crypto payments, the brand continues to evolve while maintaining its deep roots in American retail.
Flexa Partnership Brings Secure Crypto Payments to the Mainstream
The partnership with Flexa is part of a broader trend of mainstream adoption of digital assets. Flexa’s payment technology allows for instant crypto payments that are both secure and simple to use—no need for complex conversions or delays at checkout.
“The retail legacy that Bealls has built over the last 110 years is simply incredible,” said Trevor Filter, co-founder of Flexa. “It’s no surprise that a company with this much staying power is now adopting one of the most important payment evolutions in history.”
As of early 2025, nearly 65 million Americans—about 28% of the adult population—own cryptocurrency, making this move timely and relevant. For Bealls, this shift isn’t just about keeping up with trends; it’s about staying ahead of them and providing modern shoppers with the options they increasingly expect.
With digital payments becoming more common across industries, Bealls’ adoption of crypto positions it as a forward-thinking leader in the retail space. As customers seek more secure and versatile ways to spend their digital assets, Bealls is ready to meet that demand—right at the register.
