UK Digital Agency Buys 325 More BTC Worth £27.15M ($36.45M)
The UK-based Smarter Web Company, known for its web design and marketing services, has significantly expanded its Bitcoin treasury strategy. The company recently purchased 325 additional BTC for £27.15 million (approximately $36.45 million), pushing its total Bitcoin holdings to 1,600 BTC.
The average price paid was £83,525 or $112,157 per Bitcoin. This latest acquisition moves Smarter Web into the top 25 public Bitcoin holders, overtaking the US-based company Fold. With plans to continue growing its crypto reserves, the firm is now targeting a place in the global top 20.
Bitcoin Holdings Now Worth $190M, With Over 11% Paper Gains
Following Bitcoin’s recent surge to an all-time high above $123,000, Smarter Web’s holdings are now worth approximately $190.14 million—reflecting an 11.3% gain from its total investment. July alone saw the firm add over 1,000 BTC, underlining its aggressive accumulation strategy.
CEO Andrew Webley has confirmed that the company intends to keep acquiring Bitcoin as part of a long-term treasury strategy. This approach has become a defining element of Smarter Web’s vision since the company began accepting Bitcoin as payment in 2023.
To complement its Bitcoin investment strategy, the company also introduced a new financial metric called the P/BYD ratio—short for Price-to-Bitcoin-Yielding Digital ratio. Inspired by the traditional P/E (Price-to-Earnings) ratio, this new metric is designed to help investors analyze crypto treasury companies using a similar valuation framework.
With continued purchases and a forward-looking approach to crypto finance, Smarter Web Company is quickly becoming a notable player in the world of corporate Bitcoin adoption.
